Love at first sight

Holy moly did this take forever

I've been on a Star Fox kick lately so needless to say when I got the idea to draw this, I simply had to jump at the chance. Though to be honest, what I originally had in mind was to pay a tribute to the canceled game intended for the N64 called 'Dinosaur Planet': ign64.ign.com/objects/014/0145… www.gemakei.com/reviews.php?ar…

At first I was weighing the idea of drawing the main protagonists from that game, Sabre and Krystal in the same poses as Fox and Krystal here; unfortunately I couldn't find any good quality pictures of them so I had to let that idea die.

What gave birth to this idea was from the scene where Fox first meets an imprisoned Krystal (www.youtube.com/watch?v=LbIjD2…. Awww Don't they make such a cute couple? )

The coloring of the background wasn't the easiest because I had wanted it to appear as though Krystal was still trapped inside the crystal and have some of the illuminating effect from the crystal.
