So since my last entry was so long ago and it was about a depressing topic, I decided to update my journal so that I can move on. I will always miss my dog, but life does go on.

So as many of you may have noticed by now, art has been very rare from me. While I still enjoy drawing, it has become harder to stay motivated to finish pieces and I don't want to upload incomplete works. Looking through my gallery, I've noticed most of my works consist of fan art, particularly anime; to be perfectly honest, I don't follow a lot of anime these days like I used to back in middle and high school. But I don't want to only draw from titles I still follow (which is quite small, lol, trust me: you guys would get pretty sick of it if I did that.) I guess what I'm trying to say here is that while I have no plans in stopping drawing altogether or close my DA account, I won't be a regular in uploading art either.

In other news: guess who just got their driver's licence~ :bademoticon: 

I was so nervous but those driving lessons paid off. Even my driving instructor who I had the last lesson with before my test was surprised cause she told me that I was very unlikely to pass the first time but I just took her critiques with a grain of salt and promised myself that I would still do my best, regardless of my final score and at the very least I would learn what I would need to work on for a second try. So now my plan is to get more experience with driving so I feel more comfortable to drive alone then look into driving schools that specialize for freeways. I'm very excited!

So how is everyone doing?

Hoo boy it's been awhile since I've made one of these and I hate to get morose on anyone but I'm still kinda shaken up and need to vent.

Around 4 this morning my brother woke me to inform me that our dog may be leaving us very soon. I followed him to his room where she slept and I found her laying on her side convulsing and foaming at the mouth while making gurgling sounds. We called a 24/7 emergency vet hospital and they told us that we'd have to bring her in later in the morning for a vet to look at her. I'm no vet so I'm just sad that I lack the expertise to help her short of calmly talking to her and staying by her side. I couldn't bring myself to pet her in fear of any sickness she may have could transfer over to my kitty (I had to keep the little mischief maker from wandering into my brother's room since she has no business going in there in the first place).

Within the hour, our dog passed on and after calling animal control we wrapped her up in her favorite blanket and carried her outside and waited for the animal control to pick her up. I'm only just now starting to feel the void due to not having her here anymore. Her final moments alive and the state I saw her in was not how I would have liked to remember her. It was already hard enough watching my grandfather go like that and to witness it again only this time with my dog...I'm sorry...it just hurts to accept at the moment. I'll bounce back eventually but right now I just need time to collect myself.

Many deviants who faved and/or left generous supportive comments on my 'Nightmares Never Last' piece still leave me touched after all these years.

Pencils, pens, colored pencils and paper of course.

In my room, at my desk whenever my kitty isn't using it as a bed. XD

How's everyone doing? Hard to believe the year's almost over, I could've sworn it just became 2014 yesterday. I hope everyone had a nice holiday, regardless of which one you celebrated. ^^

So I figured I'd give an update for those who saw my last submission. The kitty is still here with us and after asking around only to be discouraged from not finding anyone able to or interested to take her in, my family and I have agreed that as long as my brother's health is not jeopardized in any way and I get her fixed when she's old enough to undergo the operation, she can stay with us.

I've already bought the necessities for her and a few toys (which, of course, she's already gone and destroyed one of them this is why we can't have nice things! XD )

Art wise, I've mostly done that for class assignments and haven't had time to work on drawings on the side. I regret neglecting my DA gallery because I do enjoy drawing and interacting with you guys while also learning from everyone's feedback in the process. I'm hoping to do more drawings next year, knock on wood.

Lastly, has anyone seen Big Hero 6 yet? I haven't watched it and am contemplating on seeing it.

Don't know what else to say here so I think this is a good place to stop.
